Summer Maintenance
Hotter months are here, and it’s time to make sure you and your home stay refreshed and cool.
On or around the first day of July:
Indoor

Service HVAC system.

Have professional chimney sweep inspect and clean fireplace flue/chimney.

Check caulk around fireplace facing and repair as needed.

Service septic system.
-
Clean kitchen appliances inside and out.
Outdoor

Verify main water cutoff valve is accessible and functioning properly.

Apply water-seal treatment to all outdoor exposed wood (properly power-washing wood first may be necessary).
-
Inspect roof for loose or missing shingles or flashing.

Clear and clean weep holes in brick siding.
