    About the Area

    Sunrise Pines has location, location, location! It is close to major highways such as 90, I-10, and 610. Just minutes from downtown, you can get to work or play in the big city quickly. There are plenty of fun things to do in the area as well, such as visiting Sheldon State Park, River Terrace Golf Course, Lake Houston and the San Jacinto River.

    Culture / Entertainment

    Sunrise Pines is just minutes from downtown Houston and all that it has to offer. Minute Maid Park is close by, which is home to the Houston Astros. Downtown Houston is also home to an amazing theather district, museums, and the Houston Zoo.

Sheldon State Park has a 2,800 acre recreational facility that is open 7 days a week year round. River Terrace Golf Club is nearby with an 18-hole public golf course. San Jacinto River is another great place to get away near Sam Houston National Forest.

    Schools

    Children of Sunrise Pines attend schools in the Sheldon ISD. They include H.M. Carroll Elementary, Michael R. Null Middle, and C.E. King High School. San Jacinto Jr. College North Campus is also nearby.

    Shopping

    Abundant shopping is just minutes away, whether you travel North or South on the Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8. Everyday conveniences are just down the road, and Deerbrook Mall is only a short distance on I-59. Wallisville Shopping Center is nearby with stores such as Lowes, Marshalls, Ross, JC Penney, Best Buy and Staples.

    Transportation

    The location just off the Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8 and Hwy 90 provides residents easy access to the major thoroughfares of the city. Shopping, dining, restaurants and major employers are minutes away. George Bush Intercontinental Airport is the closest airport to Sunrise Pines, but with its location along the Sam Houston Tollway/Beltway 8, Houston’s Hobby Airport is an easy trip as well.
