About the Area

Selma, a city just over five square miles, is situated on the outskirts of San Antonio, and is divided roughly in half by I-35.  Two-thirds of the land area of the city lies in Northeastern Bexar County, with approximately one-fourth of our land area in Guadalupe County and the balance in Comal County.  The city is in three independent school districts with their boundaries roughly equivalent to the county boundaries.

Culture/Entertainment

You'll find many local attractions in historic Gruene and New Braunfels, a city famous for the Guadalupe River.  Every 4th of July, Schertz sponsors the annual Jubilee and Parade, a four-day festival that includes rides, free musical entertainment, food, fun, and crafts.
