About the Area
Starling at FishHawk Ranch is located 30 minutes from downtown Tampa in a quaint area called Lithia. This quiet, family-oriented area offers the benefits of living in a small town, yet is only a short drive to everything in the city.
Culture/Entertainment
Starling at FishHawk Ranch is 30 minutes from downtown Tampa, where you'll find a full array of entertainment including the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center, St. Pete Times Forum, Ford Amphitheater and Tampa Theater. These venues offer a variety of concerts, plays, sporting events, and more from.
Downtown you will find numerous museums, such as the Tampa Bay History Museum and the Tampa Museum of Art. While visiting Downtown you can also stop for a while at the Channelside District. Channelside offers movie theaters, including IMAX, restaurants, bars, shops, and more.
From Channelside you can ride the trolley five miles to historic Ybor City, where you'll find more to choose from in the way of restaurants, bars, museums, shopping, and entertainment.
A little closer is an area called Brandon, about a 15-minute drive from FishHawk Ranch, that also offers movie theaters, countless restaurants, bars and more for your entertainment.
Last, but definitely not least, Starling at FishHawk Ranch has arranged for various local bands to play at Park Square on Friday evenings in the summer. These concert are free for all homeowners and their guests, and the music varies from classic rock and blues to salsa and even a Jimmy Buffett tribute night.
Medical
Brandon Regional Medical Hospital is within a 15 minute drive of Starling at FishHawk Ranch. There are also countless other medical facilities in the Brandon area.
Just outside of the Starling at FishHawk Ranch community there are also a couple of medical parks with doctor's offices, dentist offices, and even a few specialists.

Stowers Elementary and Barrington Middle Schools are both brand new schools that just opened for the 2009-2010 school year.
Newsome High School is within walking distance from the community and currently has an A rating. There are also numerous preschools located on site for your convenience as well.
Shopping
Starling at FishHawk Ranch is 15 minutes from an area called Brandon. In Brandon you will find one of the largest malls in all of Tampa Bay. You will also find countless other stores, boutiques, shopping plazas and more in the area just for your shopping pleasure.
