City Overview
The city of Maricopa is described as, "The City with Heart." Even though the city is growing quickly, city fathers are working to retain that small town sense of community. Life still revolves around high school sports and weekend festivals. Every year there is a holiday house decoration contest. You'll find that there is always something happening in Maricopa. The city of Maricopa is only about 20 miles from downtown Phoenix. Sky Harbor Airport is an easy 40 minute commute while major hospitals and shopping malls are only about 25 minutes drive time. So big city conveniences are reasonably close, but far enough away to retain a small town feel.
Culture/Entertainment
A short drive into Phoenix offers world-class cultural and historical attractions, including museums, art centers, and archeological parks. Night life, music and theatrical attractions abound at renowned venues like Dodge Theatre, Herberger Theater Center, and the Orpheum Theatre.
